About the Role

As our Human Resources Manager, you will be the architect of Stawi’s culture and talent strategy. You will move beyond administrative HR to become a strategic partner, ensuring that our team—from field officers in Lindi to executives in Dar es Salaam—is motivated, compliant, and growing. We are scaling rapidly, and we need a leader who can build systems that scale with us.

What You’ll Do

  • Talent Strategy: Design and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent in agriculture and technology.
  • Culture Building: Foster a workplace environment that champions our core values of transparency and impact.
  • Compliance & Operations: Ensure full compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and manage payroll, benefits, and contracts.
  • Performance Management: Develop evaluation systems that drive growth and accountability across the organization.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to staff, resolving conflicts and promoting well-being.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR management, preferably in a high-growth environment or NGO.
  • Deep knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Fluency in both Swahili and English.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Workday).
  • Background in the agricultural sector.
