About the Role

The Programmes Manager is the operational backbone of Stawi’s impact. You will oversee our core initiatives—Cashewnut Seedling distribution and Beekeeping equipment subsidies. Based in our Field HQ, you will bridge the gap between strategic goals and on-the-ground execution, ensuring thousands of farmers receive their inputs on time and are trained effectively.

What You’ll Do

  • Project Execution: Lead the end-to-end implementation of agricultural support programs, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Manage relationships with local government authorities, cooperative societies, and partner NGOs.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of field officers and agronomists across the Coastal Region.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Implement data collection systems to track program impact and report to donors/investors.
  • Resource Allocation: Optimize the distribution of seedlings and hives to maximize reach and efficiency.

What You’ll Need

  • Master’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Agriculture, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience managing large-scale agricultural or community development projects.
  • Proven ability to work in remote, rural environments and manage distributed teams.
  • Strong experience with donor reporting (USAID, EU, etc.) and budget management.
  • Excellent proficiency in Swahili and English.

Nice to Haves

  • PMP or PRINCE2 Certification.
  • Experience with digital data collection tools (ODK, KoboToolbox).
